Dunn County Humane Society (DCHS) invites you to The HeART of Dunn County, a one-of-a-kind evening celebrating local artistry, live music, and community spirit—all in support of unhomed pets in need in Dunn County.
This unique fundraiser will take place at The Historic Mabel Tainter Theater on Friday, March 6th, transforming the venue into a vibrant marketplace showcasing the incredible talent of local artists.Â

Attendees will have the opportunity to browse and purchase wonderful pieces of donated art, ranging from pottery, stained glass, and textile arts to paintings, jewelry, woodworking, and more! Every dollar raised from the sale of these pieces will directly support the Dunn County Humane Society’s mission to provide shelter, medical care, and second chances to pets in need.Â
This year, we are partnering with The Dunn County Historical Society to include historical images and stories of local dogs and cats, reminding us that pets have always been part of the heart and history of our community.Â
Tickets are available online now! $35 if purchased by 2/28/26, $45 at the door.Â
Event HighlightsÂ
Art for a Cause: All artwork is generously donated by local artists, ensuring that every purchase and every bid makes a direct impact for our organization.Â
Live Music: Enjoy performances by talented local musicians throughout the venue, including Cap’n Seabeard & Grandpa Jo and the Butter Knives.Â
Silent Auction: Bid on larger, one-of-a-kind masterpieces.Â
Food & Drinks: Savor delicious offerings from local vendors at stations throughout the event, including Half Fast Brewing Company, Nichol’s Nibbles at The Nichol Inn, Raw Deal, Lucette Brewing Co., and more!
Pet Portraits on the Spot: Bring a picture of your own pet and a local artist will create a memorable keepsake that you can take home with you.Â
Learn & Connect: Mingle with neighbors and fellow animal lovers, share pet stories, and connect with the DCHS community while learning about the work we do for local pets.Â
This event is more than an art showcase—it’s a chance to change lives, one masterpiece and one paw at a time. Every ticket sold, every bid placed, and every piece purchased brings us closer to ensuring that every unhomed pet in our care finds a loving home.Â
Be part of something truly special. Support local artists, enjoy an unforgettable evening, and help us create a brighter future for unhomed pets in our community.Â
