The story behind "Charlie was a Worrier."
"One of my numerous work adventures brought me in touch with the early grades of K-12. It was a program known as "The Foster Grandparent Program." It was a Federal program run through the CESA School system. I was hired to assist the Supervisor of the program. This program brought seniors into the classrooms to specifically help with children with disabilities - emotionally or physically. I was hired by CESA to study, guide, and evolve the program and its impact and improvement of the grandparents' lives and the students that interacted with the grandparents.
Throughout my life, I have seen many events that have touched my heart in some way. That is how I met Charlie. Seeing first hand the trauma some of these children go through with no one to answer their questions, led me to write a book for them. "Charlie was a Worrier" was created to soothe anxious children--Charlie has three other books in the future if God gives me the time to complete them."
