Enjoy an evening of violin selections in the style of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli along with standards, show tunes, and popular music with John Utphall - Violinist!

A former resident of Menomonie, John established the Menomonie Public Schools Strings Program in 1988 and was director until 2015. Along with numerous performances here at The Mabel as first violin for Menomonie Theatre Guild productions, you may have seen John playing at Jakes’ On Tainter Lake (since 1981!), Music Over Menomin, Tuesday Night Band Concerts, or, perhaps with one of his four current ensembles:
