David Allen Miller: April 15, 1942 – June 13, 2026

David Allen Miller, 84, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2026, surrounded by the love of family and the memories of a well lived life.

David was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He believed in hard work, responsibility, kindness, and the importance of family. Throughout his life, he found joy in helping others, sharing stories, learning new things, and spending time with those he loved.

David’s working life reflected these ideas. He worked in factories, taught industrial arts, coached athletics, and worked toward improving workplace safety.

The greatest love of his life was his wife, Marilyn. Their life together was built on love, commitment, and family. Even after her passing, David often reflected on their years together and the memories they shared.

In his later years, David spent many hours writing memories, stories, and reflections. He wrote about family, faith, friendship, loss, and the lessons he learned throughout his life. Through these writings, his family gained an even deeper appreciation for his wisdom, humor, and thoughtful nature.

Among the many lessons he left behind were simple but meaningful truths:

  • “Home is where I am most happy.”

  • “Never judge someone by what they cannot do, but what they can do.”

  • “Always accentuate the positive and forget, the best you can, the negative.”

  • “Having been a procrastinator at times, I now try to do what should be done as soon as possible.”

  • “I know we must accept whatever happens, but it is hard.”

  • “Be kind.”

These words reflected the values by which David lived and the example he set for those around him.

Though he will be deeply missed, the lessons he shared and the love he gave will remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

Forever loved. Forever remembered.

David is survived by his children, Allen Miller, Dennis (Carla) Miller, Shelly (Albert) Kelly, Teresa (Jeff) Cline, and his special friend Jodi Schutt, whose friendship brought him great joy.
