Beatrice P. Schlosser, age 92 of Menomonie passed away Sunday, July 6, 2025 at Comforts of Home in Menomonie.
Beatrice was born November 27, 1932 to Arthur and Rose (Schuh) Albeidinger in Durand, WI. She graduated from Durand High School. On May 22, 1951 she married Bernard Schlosser at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Durand, where they were lifelong members. To this union they had one son.
Bea was a natural caregiver; she began her working career as a CNA in Durand. Later, she devoted many years to caring for children through her in-home daycare, a role she cherished for much of her life.
A devoted gardener, Bea tended her garden each year and was especially known for her homemade pickles, which she lovingly shared with family and friends. She loved cross stitching and sewing quilts for her whole family.
Bea and Bernard enjoyed traveling together later in life, exploring many parts of the United States. They looked forward to their time in Twins Lakes in Mission, TX where they wintered for nearly 25 years. After Bernard passed in 2015, she continued to travel to Texas. She always appreciated the daily visits from her friend Sharon, where they would go out to eat, socialize, and ride around in golf carts. She cherished seasonal trips to South Padre Island in the fall and spring with her son, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Spending time with her family was most important to her, whether it was gathering at Jon/Jack Harmon chicken dinners, Friday fish frys, or picking blackberries in the neighboring woods. She especially loved to cheer on her great-grandson Reese while he raced go-carts then later stock cars.
Bea is survived by her son Bruce (Sherry) Schlosser, three granddaughters, Shawna Stone, Candace Schlosser, and Jodi (Danny Thomas) Schlosser; great grandchildren MaKayla (Logan Bauer) Schlosser, Abby (Joey) Krizan, Baley Schlosser, Tia (Channer Schutts) Mittlestadt, Emma Stone (Trevor Larson), Reese Schlosser and Anissa Hoyt (Cody Dahms); great great grandchildren Khloe Aspen, Abel Bauer and Jaxon Bauer, Walter, Ellie and Maggie Krizan, as well as two great great grandchildren on the way. She is further survived by brother Ronald Ashley of Hawaii and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bernard, two sisters, and three brothers.
Interment will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Durand. Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, WI is handling arrangements.
