Emmer Shields was sworn in as a police officer for the Menomonie Police Department on Friday, August 16th. During his ceremony, he received badge #139. Gail Everts, one of the previous officers to wear badge #139, pinned the badge onto Emmer while being sworn in. Officer Shields is transferring to our department with 17 years of Law Enforcement experience behind him. He will begin his field training program with our department immediately.
