Event to Take Place October 10, 2024
United Way St. Croix & Red Cedar Valleys is thrilled to announce the much-anticipated Day of Caring event for Dunn and Pepin counties in Wisconsin. Scheduled for October 10th, this event marks the return of a valued tradition aimed at supporting nonprofits within our communities.
Volunteers will gather at Bill’s Distributing at 7:30am for registration, breakfast, volunteer & sponsor recognition, and receive event t-shirts. After the initial meet-up, teams will head to their designated project sites at 8:30am. The half-day event is expected to wrap up by 1:00pm.
"We are so pleased to be resuming our Day of Caring tradition to help nonprofits in Dunn and Pepin counties," noted Steve McCarthy, Executive Director of the recently merged organization.
Luisa Gerasimo, United Way St. Croix & Red Cedar Valleys board member, highlighted the community’s eagerness for the event. "Many individuals and organizations have approached us about this one-day event which speaks to the area’s community-mindedness. It is a testament to our strong sense of community and people’s desire to make a difference."

United Way St. Croix Valley and United Way of Dunn County merged July 1, forming United Way St. Croix & Red Cedar Valleys, serving Burnett, Dunn, Pepin, Pierce, Polk, and St. Croix counties in Western Wisconsin.
