To Freedom: Music from Ukraine, Poland, Estonia


On Saturday, December 3rd at 7pm, the UW Stout Choirs will be presenting To Freedom: Music from Ukraine, Poland, Estonia at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 910 9th Street E.

UW-Stout Symphonic Singers and Chamber Choir, conducted by Jerry Hui, will perform music from Ukraine, Poland and Estonia that speaks to the perils of war and the desire for peace. Guest performers include Schola Cantorum of Eau Claire, treble singers from the Menomonie Middle School, and the Swan Lake Ballet and Ganna Ensemble.

A companion art exhibit “To Freedom” is on display from Monday, Nov. 7, to Saturday, Dec. 17, at Furlong Gallery in UW-Stout’s Micheels Hall, featuring artists Riivo Kruuk (Estonian), Christina Shmigel (Ukraine), and Monika Weiss (Poland).
