Three MHS Cross Country Runners Headed to State Meet

The MHS Boys and Girls Cross Country teams competed in the WIAA Division I Sectional meet on Saturday, October 24th in West Salem. The girls team finished third, narrowly missing out on a trip to state, but two mustang runners did qualify as individuals. Brooklyn Hoff finished 4th overall and earned her third trip to the state meet. Brooklyn is the first girl cross country runner to qualify for the state meet three years in a row in over 40 years. Anna Imsande also qualified for the state meet, running the best race of her life and finishing 5th overall. Kyah Barnhart also finished in the top 20.

The boys placed 4th overall to cap off a great season. Individually, Connor Norby had an outstanding race to place 5th overall and earn a trip to the state meet. Grant Burns and Dylan Norby also placed in the top 20.

Anna, Brooklyn and Connor will compete at the Division I state meet this Saturday, October 29th at Wisconsin Rapids.
