The Bridge to Hope Chalk the Walk

UPDATE: We are extending this event! Please have your photos submitted by the 21st. Winners will be announced on the 26th.

Sexual Assault Awareness Month and Child Abuse Awareness Month are both observed in April. This year, the theme is Building Connected Communities.

During the first week of April (1st - 7th), community members and local businesses are encouraged to create chalk art installations displaying messages of support, empowerment, and awareness in solidarity with survivors. Our objective is to ensure survivors feel seen and supported while generating meaningful discussions within the community about the impacts of violence.

Want to get involved?

You or your business can partner with us by creating your own chalk art, donating chalk supplies, offering sidewalk space for chalk installations, promoting the event, and/or volunteering to help create chalk art at designated spaces around town!

Join us by displaying supportive chalk art and messages, deepening your understanding of trauma, and engaging in important conversations with peers and loved ones about sexual assault and child abuse prevention and support strategies. The Bridge to Hope will be collecting photo submissions of the finished artwork in the community throughout the week. Three participants will be selected to win a prize of $50 each at the end of the event.

If you have any questions or would like to get involved, please reach out to angiem@thebridgetohope.org or katb@thebridgetohope.org, or call 715-235-9074.
