School District of the Menomonie Area seeks community members to explore future use of Downsville School 


The School District of the Menomonie Area is in the process of establishing a team of stakeholders from throughout the school district and community to be part of an exploration committee to investigate possible future educational uses for the Downsville School building.


Once formed, it is expected that the Downsville School Exploration Committee will begin meeting in the fall of 2025 with the goal of making initial recommendations for the future  of the school site to the SDMA Board of Education by January 2026.  Selected participants can expect to meet monthly during the months of September, October, November and December. The committee will be chaired by Assistant Superintendent of Instruction Brian Seguin and composed of interested individuals from throughout the SDMA community and staff.


As part of this process, individuals who may be interested in serving in this capacity may apply by completing the Downsville School Exploration Committee form.  Interested individuals can expect to be notified of their application status by June 15, 2025.
