Rental Assistance Program



Information from West CAP on a rental assistance program:


Wisconsin Emergency Rental Assistance (WERA) is a federally funded program for households experiencing income loss because of the COVID-19 pandemic. If you are behind on rent and have lost income due to COVID-19, you may be eligible for financial assistance.




Eligibility


1. Qualifies for unemployment or has experience a significant reduction in income, incurred significant costs, or experience financial hardship during the period of the COVID -19 public health emergency


2. Demonstrates a risk of experiencing homelessness or housing instability; and


3. Has a household income at or below 80% of CMI


4. West CAP will administer the program for Barron, Burnett, Chippewa, Dunn, Pepin, Pierce, Polk, St Croix and Washburn Counties. If you live in a difference county please contact your local Community Action Agency
