OWL Sex Education Program Parent Informational Meeting

The Bridge to Hope will be holding an informational meeting for parents, giving them an opportunity to learn about the OWL Sex Education Program being offered. The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, August 31st at 7pm in the lower level of the First Congregational UCC.

From the Bridge to Hope Facebook page:

Based on the Our Whole Lives curriculum, this program provides an opportunity for youth to learn accurate, comprehensive, age-appropriate lessons about sexual health in a safe, inclusive, and welcoming setting among their peers. Topics covered in this group range from basic anatomy to consent, healthy relationships, body positivity, gender and sexuality, and more!

Throughout the course of this program, members are encouraged to reflect on how their values and beliefs tie into these lessons. Our goal is to give members of this program the proper language and tools to prepare them to make healthy and empowered decisions for the rest of their lives!

The group will meet for 12 sessions throughout the school year on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 - 8:30 pm at First Congregational UCC in Menomonie (check schedule for specific dates). Though this group will be meeting in the church, lessons are not faith-based.

If you would like to learn more about this program, please join us for an informational meeting on Wednesday, August 31st at 7:00 pm. We will be meeting in Room 1 (Downstairs).
