A crash involving a passenger car and semi unit occurred at the intersection of Hwy 64 and Hwy 25 N at approximately 7:45 AM on Monday, February 13th.
According to a media release from the Wisconsin State Patrol, a preliminary investigation shows the driver of the car made a left-hand turn in front of the semi unit. The driver of the car, 60-year-old Martin J. Pederson from Eau Claire, was trapped and extricated by fire personnel and was later med- flighted. He sustained life threatening injuries.
The driver of the semi unit, 44-year-old Brandon J. Duffy from Jim Falls, was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol.
Assisting agencies included Dunn County Sheriff's Department, Boyceville EMS, Colfax EMS, Ridgeland Fire Department, Prairie Farm Fire Department, Dunn County Highway Department, and Mayo Clinic Ambulance Service Helicopter.
