Invasive weed and growth inhibitor spraying
The Dunn County Highway Department began applying herbicides along the county roadways throughout Dunn County to control invasive plant species and to apply a growth inhibitor to slow the growth rate of grass and weeds.
The herbicides that are being utilized are not restricted and will not harm milkweed to support the monarch butterfly habitat.
Roadside and right-of-way treatment on county roadways (up to 20 feet on each side of the road) will be conducted countywide.
