Notes for the Week - May 25th

Menomonie High School's graduation ceremony is this Sunday, May 28th at 2pm. I will have a post up with a link to the live stream and hopefully a program.

The Mehara Shrine Circus is coming to town on Wednesday, June 14th. Shows are listed for 4pm and 7pm. Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for kids. They are advertising that the first 100 adult tickets sold online can be purchased for $9.99. Free kids' tickets can be found around town - Menomonie Parks and Rec has them and I saw them at my church (OSL). A full post with more info will be coming!

Anita Keeler, president of the Ludington Guard Band, appeared on WEAU this week to talk about the band and the upcoming season. You can watch it here.

There are no races at the Red Cedar Speedway this Friday, May 27th.

Scatterbrain Cafe in Downsville shared the following - We are excited to announce that we will be open later Wednesday, Thursdays, and Fridays until 7:30pm and we will be featuring a new dinner menu which will change monthly. More details to come. We are also looking for live music on these nights as well. Saturdays and Sundays we will also be extending our hours from 8am-5pm. Our kitchen will still close at 3pm but we will have ice cream, beverages, and baked goods available. Note - the changes went into effect this week.

Mr. Perry Myren, the MHS Athletic Director and Associate Principal, has resigned and will be heading to Eau Claire Memorial to become the new Athletic Director and Assistant Principal there.

Check out the Stepping Stones What's New Review for May. It includes a video of the work done so far on the new homeless shelter.
