Notes for the Week Ending 1/6

There is a GoFundMe for the Bendickson family from Durand. The mother, Nicole, died shortly after giving birth to twins. There is also a one-year-old daughter at home. They did not have life insurance and have some considerable expenses to cover. For those that wish to donate, the link can be found here.

WoodWind Park will have least one ice rink open this weekend. Thanks to the Menomonie Youth Hockey Association, they have skates to rent for $4/pair. If you have your own skates, there is no charge to skate. At least part of the tubing hill is open, the cross-country ski course will be groomed, and snowshoe trails will also be open. Due to low temperatures, they may only be open on Saturday. Check their website or Facebook page for updates.

Open soccer for middle and high schoolers will be offered in the Main Gym at MHS every Wednesday night from 7:30-8:30 pm starting January 5th.

UW Madison Division of Extension is offering a new 12-week session of virtual StrongBodies classes on ZOOM. Classes are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-10am starting the week of January 11 and running through March 31st. Health and nutrition discussions will be offered following each class. Online Registration can be found here. Any Questions, please contact Terri Kolb (715) 365-2756 or terri.kolb@wisc.edu
