This week I heard that Wisconsin is getting a new area code. The 920 area code in the eastern part of the state is running out of numbers, so all new numbers starting this spring will be assigned the 274 area code. New numbers have been established for other Wisconsin area codes. When the current numbers run out, area code 353 will be assigned for new numbers in the 608 area code and 534 in the 715 area code.
