Notes for the Week - 7/21

Menomonie Airfest and Autorama is coming up on Saturday, August 6th. More information will be posted as it becomes available.


Plans are underway for the opening of a new school in Menomonie. Summit Christian Academy is planning to open its doors in the fall of 2023.


A new tattoo shop and art gallery recently opened in downtown Menomonie. The Foxwood Gallery is located at 645 S. Broadway. There will be a grand opening July 23rd and 24th. Find out more about this new business on their website and on the Facebook event page.


I came across this interesting story on the Landmark Conservancy website. A couple placed their property - over 800 acres in Spring Valley - in a conservation easement with Landmark. This is the largest conservation easement that Landmark holds. The landscape includes a total of eight natural springs, steep, rocky cliffs, and a deep ravine, known as a coulee. Read more here.
