Notes for the Week - 6/30

The Bobber (the official blog of Discover Wisconsin), recently posted How to plan your next weekend getaway in the Menomonie area. Follow this link to take a look.

Even though the school year just finished, the Foster Closet is collecting school supplies. As noted on their Facebook page, it doesn't take much to go a long way in helping these kids feel supported. Follow this link to their Amazon wish list.

Strawberry season is coming to a close. Govin's noted this week that demand has been high, and they only send the truck to town to sell berries when they have extras. Red Cedar Valley Farms also noted that they are only selling at the farm due to labor shortages.

Paper copies of the Dunn County Community Resource Guide are available at various locations around Menomonie including the Menomonie Public Library, Dunn County offices, City Hall, Stepping Stones, C3, WestCAP, Senior Center & Meal Sites, UW Stout and medical facilities.

Retired social worker Dennis Ciesielski is using his hobby of taking found wood and creating art to help the Bridge to Hope. His pieces are sold at La Dee Dah and all proceeds go to the Bridge to Hope. Stop in and take a look at this amazing artwork!
