Korger's Decorating (544 Broadway) has closed its Menomonie store. According to a sign on the door the closure was due to a struggle finding qualified employees. The Chippewa Falls store is still open.


The City of Menomonie has summer employment opportunities for those 18 and older. Applications for these seasonal positions can be picked up at the Community Services Building, 621 11th Avenue or downloaded here. Applications will be accepted at City Hall 800 Wilson Avenue through April 30th. Call 715-232-2302 with questions.


Menomonie Theater Guild is looking for mentors for this summer's production of Beauty and the Beast Jr. Mentoring is a great opportunity for high school and college students looking to build their resume and create amazing memories. Many mentors have called working with MTG the "highlight of their summer!" Find more details and the application here. Applications are due by April 28th. The Annual Cedar Falls Thrift Sales will be held May 5th-7th this year. Maps will be available online one week prior to the sale and will be found on the Menomonie Minute.


A UW Stout student filmmaker is looking for two male and two female actors between the ages of 18-22 for a music video. Filming will take place on Saturday, April 16th and Sunday, April 17th. If interested contact Adam Pierce at for more information.
