Notes for the Week - 10/6

Menomonie was featured in a new Discover Wisconsin episode. You can find it here. Menomonie starts about 5 minutes in.

There will be an advisory healthcare referendum on the November 8th ballot. Read more about it in this prior post. WEAU ran a story this week explaining more. You can find it here.

Emmitt Bailey AKA the Mullet Boy was featured in a video on Facebook's 60 Second Docs. Find it here if you are on Facebook. If you are not on Facebook, you can check here. (The non-FB link may or may not work. I'm experimenting with ways to link FB videos so those not on Facebook can still see it. If someone that is not on FB can let me know if it works, I'd appreciate it!)

The movie theater in Oakwood Mall permanently closed this week. It's a reminder that what we don't use, we may lose. Support the CEC Menomonie 7 Theatre. Check their Facebook page or website for showtimes. Tuesday tickets are always $5.50.

SAVE THE DATE - Quilts of the Pinery will be returning to the Rassbach Museum. This exhibit of quilts — both antique and newly made, from the area of Northwest Wisconsin formerly known as “The Pinery" is scheduled from January 31st to February 4th.
