The weather is turning colder, and the Foster Closet is looking for winter gear.

This week they posted that they are always in need of waterproof gloves. It is one of the most difficult items to keep in stock.

October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month. Posted on the Dunn County Facebook page this week: Are you and your family safe and secure online? Dunn County Emergency Management and ReadyWisconsin want to help protect your digital life.

Here is a tip on how to protect yourself online! Think before you act: Be wary of communications that implore you to act immediately, offer something that sounds too good to be true or ask for personal information. More information can be found on this website.

Cenex North is having a Halloween coloring contest. Kids Ages 14 and under can win a basket filled with sticker books, candy, LED lights, a Halloween cup and more.

The Shirley Doane Senior Center has bingo every Friday at 1pm. Their monthly calendar can be found in the Classes, Clubs and Support Groups section of the Menomonie Minute.

World Mental Health Day was earlier this week. Dunn County Partnership for Youth is a great resource to have in our community. Check their Facebook page and website for more information.
