Notes for the Week - 1/19

The Wisconsin Foster Closet posted the following: Swinging for a Cure is holding their 13th annual golf outing Friday May 19th in Eau Claire and they have nominated us as one of the groups to receive the proceeds. So, if you are looking for ways to help our cause and you love to golf this is a win win! If you would like to help sponsor this event or you want to golf, please send us an email ( and we will get you connected. Thank you!

Mike's Art & Design Supply is now carrying basic music accessories. It appears to be mainly for guitars at this point, but he noted that if there is something else you’d like to be able to find locally to let him know.

Someone on Facebook asked when the Great Escape will reopen, and a progress report was shared - we FINALLY have outside walls up and some roofing done but an entire bar that’s down to the guts inside. It’s been a painfully slow process… Spring is the only type of time frame we know at this time.

Four candidates for the Wisconsin Supreme Court will appear on the February 21st primary ballot. Incumbent judge, Patience D. Roggensack, is retiring after 20 years on the court. Declared candidates include former Wisconsin Supreme Court justice Daniel Kelly, and current Wisconsin circuit court judges Everett Mitchell of Dane County, Janet Protasiewicz of Milwaukee County, and Jennifer Dorow of Waukesha County. The two candidates who receive the most votes will advance to the April 4 spring election. A recent candidate forum can be found here.
