On Tuesday, May 16, 2023, Dane Weiland was sworn in as a police officer for the Menomonie Police Department. He begins recruit school at the Chippewa Valley Technical College Law Enforcement Academy next week. He will attend the academy for 18 weeks before beginning field training with our department.
Officer Weiland is a Chippewa Falls native who graduated from Winona State University in 2023.
