From the Dunn County Sheriff's Department Facebook page:
Today (Saturday, October 16th) is National Move Over Day.
Emergency Responders are the first to help on Wisconsin Roadways following crashes or roadside emergencies. Last year alone 2 first responders lost their lives and 69 others were injured while assisting with emergency situations.
This week we spoke with several of our deputies to get their perspectives on responding to crashes and the possibility of their lives being a statistic in 2021. Below are their responses.
Please take a moment to read this post and put faces to some of our staff here in Dunn County.
We could have posted the State Statute for you to read, but a picture is worth a thousand words. We appreciate the community we serve and hope it is reciprocated by slowing down or moving over when you see flashing lights of any emergency first responder.
