The WIAA individual wrestling tournament is being held February 23-25 at the Kohl Center in Madison. The Mustangs have three boys wrestling - Junior Brayten Casey (113), Senior Kellan Aure (132) and Freshman Bryce Shepard (182).
Brayten was the state champion last year in the 106-weight class. Kellan was the runner up last year in the 132-weight class.

Our Menomonie Mustang wrestlers represented our city very well yesterday. We had 12 boys and 1 girl compete at Eau Claire North yesterday for the WIAA D1 Sectional Tournament. Boys needed to finish top 2 to punch their ticket to State, girls needed to finish 1st.
We ended up with 3 kids punching their tickets to the WIAA State Tournament that will start this Thursday at the Kohl Center in Madison. We also had some kids fall just short of qualifying.
