Information for students going to the game

From Superintendent Joe Zydowsky:

The hockey team will be playing at state on Thursday, but because of the number of school days already canceled this year due to bad weather, classes will still be held in the SDMA. Students and staff members who would like to attend the state hockey tournament are still encouraged to go, but the district plans to do whatever we can to keep all schools open on Thursday. With approval from parents, students can request a prearranged absence for Thursday from their building principal, and the district will be communicating with faculty and staff the process to be followed for requesting time off.

From an email shared by the High School:

Any parents interested in having their student attend Thursday's game on, please notify your student's building principal and/or the staff that regularly handles student attendance about requesting a pre-arranged absence. Buildings will be following normal attendance procedures for student absences, and we appreciate your communication ahead of the event.

Student Fan Bus: The fan bus sign up times will be first come first serve beginning at 7:00AM on Tuesday 2/28 and will end on Wednesday at 12:00 PM. Mark and Joyce Dahms and Brady and Lisa Dahms were very generous and covered the cost of the fan bus so there will be no charge to ride the bus. Students will still need to purchase a ticket for the event.
