YOU asked for more theater opportunities for younger ages, and we are THRILLED to announce two brand new summer opportunities JUST for students in grades K-3 (current grade)! These class opportunities are shorter in duration and action-packed, meant to introduce the younger set to the magic of theater arts!
Name of Class: Discovery Theater Description: Students will explore the fundamentals of theater including voice, movement, and character development. We will learn games, acting exercises, and cooperation/collaboration skills during this fun and exciting introduction to theater fun! Date: 6/19 - 6/22 Time: 1:00 - 4:00 PM Fee: $45 Enrollment: 10 students minimum and 20 students maximum
Name of Class: Dramagination Storytelling Description: Students will dive into classic children's storybooks to become characters, act out scenes, and reimagine the stories with their own creative twist. We will also be embracing our inner artist by creating theater crafts such as props, costumes, and puppets! Date: 6/26 - 6/29 Time: 1:00 - 4:00 PM Fee: $45 Enrollment: 10 students minimum and 20 students maximum
About the Teacher: Amy Groskreutz is a music teacher in the Menomonie school district and has always enjoyed all things theater! She has been involved as a performer or director for multiple plays and musicals over the years, and is now looking forward to teaching young students about all of the wonderful things theater has to offer!
