Headed to State!

MHS Senior Sophie Sobota is headed to the WIAA Gymnastics State Meet in Wisconsin Rapids. She will compete in the Division 2 meet on Friday, March 4th at 1pm.

The team competed at sectionals this past weekend and finished 4th with a season high score of 135.475. Sobota qualified for the state meet by placing 5th on the vault and 3rd of the floor. She also placed 6th in the all-around.

Other top finishers for the Mustangs included Alexis Anderson - 6th on floor and 10th on beam, Halle Buhr - 30th on floor, MyKenna Mogen - 31st on Vault, Delaney Untz - 14th on bars and 18th on beam, Amelia Anderson - 23rd on beam, and Izzie Whitwam - 6th on bars, 7th on vault, 8th on beam, and 9th all around.

Congratulations to the girls on an amazing season. They finished the regular season on top of the BRC and finished 3rd at the conference meet.

Best of luck to Sophie at the state competition. There will be a send off for her at the field house entrance today (Thursday, 3/3) at 3:35 pm.
