UPDATED February primary needed for SDMA School Board election


CORRECTED INFORMATION REGARDING CITY COUNCIL CANDIDATES


Candidates running for school board will be narrowed down in a February primary before April's Spring Election.


Three of the nine board seats are up for election each spring. All three incumbents filed papers for another term. An additional four people filed nomination papers bring the total to seven candidates, enough to require a primary. The seven candidates are incumbents Dale Dahlke, Amy Riddle-Swanson, and Charlie Schneider and challengers Amber Kersting, Stephen Machesky, Scott Parker, and Brittany Weiker.


CORRECTION - The Menomonie City Council will have ONE contested race. The odd-numbered wards are up for re-election this year.


Ward 1 - Jeff Luther

(Incumbent Lucas Chase is not seeking reelection)


Ward 3 - Eric Sutherland, Incumbent


Ward 5 - Laura McCullough

(Incumbent Kelly McCullough is not seeking reelection)


Ward 7 - currently vacant, no papers filed


Ward 9 - Chad Schlough, Incumbent

Sydney Brennan


Ward 11 - Randy Sommerfeld, Incumbent
