Please help if you can!
Broken legs, broken teeth, gunshot wounds, hit by car, intentional abuse and more… there is no shortage of animals in need of immediate help. We need your help to replenish our depleted Lizzie Fund!
The Lizzie Fund was started many years ago at DCHS when a sweet puppy (named Lizzie) arrived with a broken leg that needed immediate surgery. Lizzie received the surgery and went on to live a long, happy life. The Lizzie Fund continues to help animals each and every year who arrive to DCHS in need of surgery.
We have seen many cats and dogs this year in need of significant surgery, and find ourselves needing to replenish the fund. Please help us help them - we need your donations to be able to continue our life-changing work.
We are running extremely low on puppy food! The DCHS pups would be so very grateful if some kind-hearted person out there would drop off a bag of puppy food in the next day or 2 *insert pleeding puppy eyes here*. We are also in need of bleach donations. These items are also available on our Amazon wishlists and Walmart Registry for Good and can be shipped directly to us if you prefer.
Donations can be made right on our Facebook page, on our profile page on Instagram, in person at the shelter, or by following this link. You can also help out by sharing this post to reach even more people who love animals!
