Community Update - 5/7

Dunn Couny Partnership for Youth and Mabel Tainter Theater are working together to present family-friendly movies but need your feedback. They are asking community members to take this survey to assist them in determining favorite movie titles.

The Menomonie Police Department posted that an unknown subject was “spoofing” MPD's non-emergency dispatch phone number (715-232-1283) to make prank calls to other individuals. When they called random individuals, the calls showed it was coming from MPD's phone number. As general information, if you receive a call from someone alleging that they are an officer, ask for their name and badge number. You can then ask to call them back and call the non-emergency line directly to verify that the call is legitimate.

The Air Quality Index is used to warn the public when air pollution levels are unsafe. Sign up to receive air quality alerts and watch for orange level alerts or higher, which means unsafe air for people with heart or lung diseases, older adults, kids and teens.
